Nestled in the peaceful village of Saltford, just moments from the UK’s oldest Brass Mill, our charming two-bedroom cottage is full of original character, from exposed features to a cosy log burner for relaxing evenings in. Set alongside the River Avon, you’ll have easy access to the Bristol & Bath Cycle Path, scenic riverside walks, paddleboarding, canoeing, and a fantastic selection of local pubs and eateries.
Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped country-style kitchen, a welcoming open-plan lounge and dining area with a wood burner and Smart TV, a family bathroom, and two comfortable bedrooms upstairs, including a king-size room and a double room with an en-suite WC.
During your stay, you’ll have exclusive access to the entire cottage. We also offer optional celebration packages, breakfast hampers and additional firewood to make your stay even more special. Additional rules: Due to the age of the property and steepness of the stairs we do not recommend children under the age of 10 and the elderly staying, this is for your own safety.
Please also note, this property DOES HAVE 1 allocated free parking space directly outside the property. If you bring a second car, you will need to find a suitable place to park. We recommend parking near ‘The Bird in Hand’ pub which is a 5 minute walk.
We love our cosy cottage, please make yourself at home and treat it with respect by following our house rules.

Is parking available at Saltford Cosy Cottage?
Yes. There is one parking space on the private driveway directly outside the cottage. As the driveway is shared with our neighbours, please ensure you park on our side only and do not block their garage.
If you’re bringing a second vehicle, there is a quiet public car park just a two-minute walk away. This is free during certain times of the year, although guests should check the signage.
We do not offer EV charging and ask that guests do not charge vehicles using a standard plug. Several public EV charging points are available nearby.
What public transport options are available?
From the driveway, follow the public footpath up the steps to the main road where you’ll find a bus stop.
The 39 and X39 buses provide regular services to:
- Bath (approximately 15–20 minutes)
- Bristol (approximately 30–40 minutes)
Is bed linen and are towels provided?
Yes. All bedding, blankets and towels are included.
What bathroom products are included?
We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and toilet roll.
What kitchen equipment is provided?
The kitchen includes crockery, glasses, mugs, cutlery, cooking equipment, cooking oil, salt, pepper, tea, instant coffee, sugar, fresh milk sachets, tea towels and kitchen roll.
Is there a washing machine?
Yes. A washing machine is provided, along with a clothes horse for drying. There is no tumble dryer.
What entertainment is available?
You’ll find:

Is Saltford Cosy Cottage dog friendly?
Absolutely. We love welcoming dogs.
We simply ask that dogs stay off the beds and sofas to help us keep the cottage in excellent condition. Any damage to bedding caused by muddy paws may incur a replacement charge.
Before checking out, please ensure all dog waste has been picked up.
How many guests can stay?
The cottage accommodates up to four guests.
- Main bedroom: King-size bed
- Second bedroom: Double bed (positioned against the wall)
What bathroom facilities are available?
The cottage has:
- One downstairs bathroom with a shower over the bath
- An additional WC attached to the second bedroom
Is Saltford Cosy Cottage suitable for guests with limited mobility?
As a Grade II listed cottage, the property retains many original features, including a traditional steep staircase with a rope handrail. Guests with limited mobility or anyone who finds stairs difficult should consider this before booking.
Is Saltford Cosy Cottage child friendly?
Yes, families are very welcome. However, please supervise young children carefully due to the steep staircase and the log burner with fire supplies.
Are fire supplies provided?
Yes. We provide enough firewood and supplies for your first evening. If you’d like additional supplies during your stay, you’ll need to purchase these locally.
What time is check-in?
Check-in is available from 3:00pm via a secure lockbox. Full arrival details will be sent 24 hours before your stay.
What time is check-out?
Please check out by 11:00am and return the keys to the lockbox. Our housekeeping team arrives promptly at 11:00am.
Will there be information about the property?
Yes. A guest book is provided with useful information, recommendations and house guidance.
Do you decorate for Christmas or special occasions?
Yes. The cottage is beautifully decorated for Christmas with a festive tree and decorations. If you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary or another special occasion, let us know—we’d be happy to help make your stay extra memorable.

A minimum stay of two nights applies, increasing to three nights during Bank Holidays, Christmas and New Year.
