About This SPace

Escape to our beautifully restored Grade II Listed cottage in the picturesque village of Beckington. Full of original character with exposed beams, a cosy log burner and a stylish open-plan kitchen and dining area opening onto a private south-facing stone courtyard, it’s the perfect place to unwind. Upstairs, you’ll find two comfortable double bedrooms and a modern family bathroom, offering everything you need for a relaxing countryside stay.

Guests have exclusive use of the entire property throughout their stay. To make your visit even more memorable, we offer optional celebration packages, breakfast hampers and additional firewood on request. Additional rules: Please note, this property does NOT have a private parking space. However there is plenty of free parking on the road outside of the house. You will not have a problem finding a space, and the village is extremely safe.

FAQ | Beckington Rustic Retreat

Is parking available at Becktington Rustic Retreat?

Yes. Free on-street parking is available without a permit, and you’ll usually find a space directly outside the property.

We do not offer EV charging and ask that guests do not charge vehicles using a standard plug. A BP garage around two minutes away has public EV charging facilities.

What public transport options are available?

Frome Road bus stop is approximately a five-minute walk from the property.

The D2 bus provides a direct service into Bath city centre in around 35–45 minutes. There are also regular services to Frome, Bradford-on-Avon and surrounding areas.

Is bed linen and are towels provided?

Yes. Bedding, blankets and towels are all included.

What bathroom products are included?

Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and toilet roll are provided.

What kitchen equipment is provided?

The kitchen includes crockery, glasses, mugs, cutlery, cooking utensils, cooking oil, salt, pepper, tea, instant coffee, sugar, fresh milk sachets, tea towels and kitchen roll.

Is there a washing machine?

Yes. There is a washing machine and a clothes horse for drying clothes. There is no tumble dryer.

What entertainment is available?

Yes. Dogs are very welcome.

The upstairs is accessed via a standard staircase and, unlike many period properties, has good head height throughout.

Is Beckington Rustic Retreat child friendly?

Yes. Families are welcome, although young children should be supervised around the log burner and fire supplies.

Are fire supplies provided?

Yes. We provide enough firewood and supplies for your first evening. Additional supplies can be purchased locally if required.

What time is check-in?

Check-in is available from 3:00pm using a secure lockbox. You’ll receive full instructions approximately 24 hours before arrival.

What time is check-out?

Check-out is by 11:00am. Please return the keys to the lockbox and follow the departure guidance in the guest book.

Will there be information about the property?

Yes. A guest book is provided with everything you need to know about the property and the local area.

Do you decorate for Christmas or special occasions?

Yes. Rustic Retreat is decorated for the festive season with a Christmas tree and seasonal decorations. If you’re celebrating a special occasion, let us know and we’ll be happy to help make your stay even more memorable.

What is the minimum stay?

The minimum stay is two nights, increasing to three nights over Bank Holidays, Christmas and New Year.
