Perched atop a classic Georgian townhouse, this stylish penthouse offers a peaceful retreat in the centre of UNESCO-listed Bath, just a short walk from the Roman Baths, Thermae Spa, and the city’s best shops and cafes.

The flat features two bedrooms with super king beds, a fully fitted kitchen, and a comfortable lounge, making it ideal for couples or friends seeking culture, comfort, and relaxation.

Please note: access is via three flights of stairs only, so it may not suit guests with limited mobility. Once you’re up, though, you’ll enjoy a quiet, private space that’s perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing.

FAQ | Georgian Gem Penthouse

Is parking available at Georgian Gem Penthouse?

Unfortunately, we do not have parking at the property. However, there are several nearby long-stay car parks, including Charlotte Street Car Park and Avon Street Car Park. Prices vary depending on your vehicle registration but are typically around £20 per 24 hours. Charlotte Street Car Park also offers EV charging. Bath Spa railway station is just a 15-minute walk away, so we recommend travelling by train if you don’t plan on driving during your stay.

What public transport options are available?

Being in Bath city centre, Georgian Gem has excellent transport links. Bath Bus Station offers routes to Bristol, Bradford-on-Avon, Frome, Wells, Bristol Airport and many other destinations.

Night-time taxi ranks are located on George Street, Southgate Street and Walcot Street. Bath also has e-bikes and e-scooters available to hire. If you’re sightseeing, the City Sightseeing Bath hop-on hop-off bus is a fantastic way to explore the city’s famous attractions.

The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, glasses, mugs, cutlery and basic cooking utensils. You’ll also find cooking oil, salt, pepper, tea, instant coffee, sugar, fresh milk sachets, tea towels and kitchen roll.

No, unfortunately pets are not permitted at Georgian Gem.

How many guests can stay?

Georgian Gem sleeps up to four guests across two spacious bedrooms, both featuring super king-size beds.

What bathroom facilities are available?

The apartment has one modern shower room. There is no bath.

Is Georgian Gem Penthouse suitable for guests with limited mobility?

Please note that the apartment is located on the third floor and is accessed only by stairs. There is no lift, so it may not be suitable for guests with mobility concerns or those travelling with heavy luggage.

Is Georgian Gem child friendly?

Yes. Families are welcome, although we ask parents to take extra care around the apartment’s windows.

What time is check-in?

Check-in is available from 3:00pm onwards. It is completely contactless using a secure lockbox. Full access details will be sent approximately 24 hours before your arrival.

What time is check-out?

Check-out is by 11:00am. Please return the keys to the lockbox before leaving and refer to the guest book for our departure instructions.

Will there be information about the property?

Yes. You’ll find a guest book inside the apartment containing everything you need to know to enjoy your stay.

Do you decorate for Christmas or special occasions?

Yes. During the festive season, the apartment is decorated with a Christmas tree and festive decorations. If you’re celebrating a special occasion, let us know—we’d be delighted to help arrange something special.

What is the minimum stay?

A minimum stay of two nights applies throughout the year. During Bank Holidays, Christmas and New Year, the minimum stay is three nights.
