Our Story
Handara is more than just a name. It’s where our journey began.
During the covid pandemic, one place in particular has always held a special meaning for us – Bali.
Known for its striking traditional split-stone gate, framed by lush green mountains and misty landscapes, Handara Gate is one of Bali’s most iconic landmarks. More than just a beautiful setting, it represents the beginning of our story and our shared passion for travel, adventure and discovering unique places.
Inspired by the unforgettable experiences we’ve enjoyed exploring the world together, we wanted to create holiday homes that offer that same feeling of comfort, escape and lasting memories for our guests.
When it came to naming our business, there was only one choice. Handara is a reminder of where our journey started and the inspiration behind every property we welcome guests into today.

Our passion for travel has taken us across the world, introducing us to incredible places, unique homes and unforgettable experiences. Along the way, we discovered that the little details often make the biggest difference. A beautifully designed space. A welcoming atmosphere. Helpful local recommendations. Inspired to create those experiences ourselves, we completed professional holiday letting training before launching Handara. That knowledge, combined with our love of travel and hospitality, gave us the confidence to create a business focused entirely on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
